Each month we round up the latest games made with Unity, and 2026 has been a standout year for the horror genre. Some hidden horror gems were lurking in the cozy games, while others disguised themselves as comedies (one is even about ghost dogs).

To celebrate Halloween, we rounded up this year's games and a few upcoming releases that fit the spooky season – organized by exactly how scared you want to be. Whether you’re after white-knuckle dread or a cute vampire life sim, there's something here for your October.

Every game on this list – from Pathologic 3 to Moonlight Peaks – was made with Unity. Follow our Steam Curator page to keep up with new releases year-round.

Pure dread

For players who want the real thing: slow-burn fear, oppressive atmosphere, and at least one moment where you wonder what’s creeping up behind you.

Pathologic 3

January saw the long-awaited return of Ice-Pick Lodge’s singular horror series. Cure a town devouring itself from the inside while the clock – and the plague – works against you. Check out Pathologic 3 on Steam.

Tormentum II

Released in July, Tormentum II from OhNoo studio is a dark point-and-click adventure where every hand-painted screen looks like a nightmare you can't quite wake from.

GHOST CAM

Hunt ghosts through the viewfinder of your camera lens and capture them on film in this VR game from Arch Rebels. Check out GHOST CAM on Steam.

It Has My Face
