EpopeiaGames has announced the launch of its new cozy adventure title,Gaucho Origins, now available on both Android and iOS for $3.99. Inspired by Brazilian gaucho culture, the game serves as a standalone prequel to Gaucho and the Grasslands.
The project began when Gaucho was selected for the Google Play Indie Games Fund, eventually leading Epopeia Games to partner with Izyplay Game Studio to bring Gaucho and the Grasslands universe to mobile.
Step into the Pampas and uncover a story of family and legacy
You might remember our coverage of Gaucho Origins, as the plan for this prequel was first revealed back in July 2026. Now, you can finally jump into the adventure, although this time you won’t be playing as Gaúcho himself. Instead, the game puts you in the shoes of his grandpa, taking you on a journey across the Pampas filled with exploration, fantasy, family, and Brazilian traditions.
As you travel through fields, villages, magical locations, and other landscapes inspired by southern Brazil, you’ll meet new characters, uncover hidden secrets, and face creatures influenced by local folklore. The story focuses heavily on family and legacy, as you protect your loved ones, help the surrounding community, and learn more about your roots while supernatural forces threaten the Pampas.
