Gods, Death & Reapers aims for early access in February 2027

So, do you want the good news or the bad news first? Wait, why are we asking that, you can’t answer. The bad news is that Gods, Death & Reapers is aiming for its early access release in February of 2027 rather than any time this year; the stated reason is to create more room for playtesting and development. The good news is that you will get a chance to take part in the sixth closed alpha on September 24th, and that includes a lot of things including new characters and the new map of Asgard.

Players can also play around with the summoner archetype, wielding double axes, ordering beasts around, and making use of the party system and friend management features. There’s also a new faction (The Chosen) and a new training area to test out your builds, so if all that sounds dope to you, you should be aiming to join in the beta test from September 24th through the 28th. It even includes Soulbound items not dropped on death! Which just leaves the gods and the reapers to be worried about, we suppose, although Blue Oyster Cult has opinions about fearing the latter.
