Indie World: Slime Rancher 2 Finally Comes to Nintendo Switch 2 This Coming

Beatrix LeBeau journeys to Rainbow Island!

Slime Rancher fans have been waiting for the sequel, Slime Rancher 2, to finally come to a Nintendo console for the past few years. Well, the interminable wait will finally wind down in January 2027 when Slime Rancher 2 launches on Nintendo Switch 2. A trailer for Monomi Park’s game was shown off during yesterday’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase:

Slime Rancher 2 features returning protagonist Beatrix LeBeau as she journeys to Rainbow Island. There, you’ll find a land “brimming with ancient technology, unknown natural resources and an avalanche of wiggling, jiggling new slimes to discover.” Beatrix’s new home is a beautiful conservatory and players will delight in the sequel’s new twists and turns. Early 2027 will be here before you know it, so try to hold out a little longer, eh?
