Friedrich:
Last weekend I didn't have a weekend, as I worked hard on the demo update (v0.6.0) - because it had be released on time for the Cozy After Dark Showcase on Steam the Monday after. I brushed up the UI - mostly related to the card game, but also the save/load screen. And I took the time to improve the German localisation, and to add a nasty bug ... Oops. This bug led to some serious confusion - it just silently softlocked the main quest without telling the player that something went wrong. I provided a hotfix (v0.6.1) on Tuesday, which was quite stressful as itch.io refused to process new builds for hours.
Nonetheless, I learned my lesson and any still existing scripting bugs will be communicated prominently to the player, from the next update on. The rest of the week consisted of finalising the screen of the card combat (more or less), so it looks pretty good now if I may say so. But I also put my thinking cap on and brainstormed the upcoming "economy" of the dungeon - because until now, there wasn't anything the player could do to regain cards and decorations when they eventually run out of these resources. More on this in the next devlog (probably).
Jana did things to promote the game and stuff and that will make the game so much better - without you ever noticing.
Patrick:
Howdy! This week I started a new level with not much to see here yet besides of a little wood house and a nice swimming pool!
I can't spoil too much (sorry that I say this so often) but it will be thematically kinda similar to the swamp level. That's it, have a nice weekend. :)
Last but not least, our new marketing guy Tom created a video showing how the player can make the dungeon cozier via decorations:
