Titled Homegrown, the update adds several interesting features, including an entirely new area, a fresh storyline, and the ability to grow and harvest plants. Needless to say, all these new features will be available on the PS5 version from day one.

According to the developer, this system lets players change the color of nearly everything inside their spaceship, from decorative items to walls and floors. There is no shortage of open-world games on PS5, and many of them fall into the cozy or wholesome category. However, Duck Side of the Moon seemingly wants to fill a gap for a game that puts absolutely no pressure on players to progress and features no combat mechanics. Starbrew Games says, Duck Side of the Moon's galaxy is yours to enjoy at your own pace. In fact, the game deliberately encourages players to take their time and look behind every corner before moving on to the next section.
Duck Side of the Moon's overwhelmingly positive user reviews on Steam could be a sign that it can find a loyal player base on PS5 too. Critics have also enjoyed the game, with OpenCritic data suggesting that most outlets have given it an average score of 7 or higher out of 10. Of course, none of this guarantees the game's success on a new platform, and it remains to be seen how PS5 players who enjoy cozy open-world games will rate Duck Side of the Moon when it finally launches.
